Most helpful customer reviews 61 of 66 people found this review helpful. NSZ-GT1 Not bad as some would have us think of James Smith, I'm not usually write reviews for products. However, in the case of the NSZ-GT1 Sony Blu Ray Player GoogleTV, I decided to do this. The number one star, bad reviews for this device almost convinced me not to review the Logitech, which I bought, rather than buy. I saw the GT1 at Best Buy but bought by Amazon at a better price. At my local Best Buy, we did not know how to operate the device to display the work. It is also almost changed my mind. I went to a Best Buy on the other big city, where she is a working group GT1 sales showed the man and let me play. So for the exam. The guy at the Geek Squad came and installed a new Yamaha receiver and 55 "Sony TV. I already had a home theater-u from the time we built our house to replace the older hardware geek. Although not a revision of the Geek Squad, the guy did a great job and gave my wife and I have instructions on how all the new equipment when he left, we stumbled around a bit after our notes and then one hour or so begun its to master. While the GT1 is not without warts. That takes some getting used to after that is a pretty slick little device. The PRO's for me a Blu Ray player (not my primary objective). While my new Sony TV "can be connected Internet," I have a Blu-ray player for Netflix, etc. This allows GT1, more DVD / Blu-Ray player. The real bonus is that it allows me to surf the net. All in all, it fits in my home theater with surround sound. [Actually, the guy Geek my sound system work better than ever.] The disadvantages are the GT1: small size of the controller and the keys on the keyboard, my fingers are large and 70 years without justice. The manual that came with the virtually non-existent. It was a real chore without quick start Geek guy was, even after he left, I had some questions he does not relate to and can not be explained in "Manual". I went to Sony's "help" a phone number where I got in touch with a guy who simply stated the solution. There is a UN-button on the controller in combination with other keys, is not labeled or explained in the manual. When I saw it, I understood more about the controller. SONY helping the man was excellent. So I give this unit a plus four rating for the very negative reviews of combat. It seems that some of these people had a Sony ax to grind or were too impatient to try to work through the bugs. I love the device and have no problem recommending. Seems like they focused on one topic and only negatively, that without looking really, what can this product do this, I give you all my advantages and disadvantages, so you can decide what set correctly for you. First I went to a Blu-ray player with Wi-Fi to buy. Why? I wanted to get Netflix in my bedroom and I wanted to be able to play DVDs. I knew I was looking to spend around $ 200 I went through this in the store and gave it a whirl and was impressed. The menus are not confusing if you have a smart phone with apps. It's almost like the set. Even the keyboard is reminiscent of my android phone. Then I found out it was not so much more money for these decent Internet connection as a blu-ray. I bought it and took it home. I wanted my husband to come home and wait for you close it, but I was too excited, so I gave it a go. I followed the easy start guide in the box and I had everything up and running in about 15 minutes. Well, it was impressive.

Review from a not-really-super-Techy guy from Abe * UPDATE * May 19, 2011 I have this TV for over a month and just wanted to give an update: Image: Custom settings! Out-of-the-box, the picture is not the best quality. There is some graininess, a noticeable effect, and some soap opera blockiness with vivid images. Each owner should calibrate the settings to his liking. It is also very important to turn the unit ECO sensor - your TV is much brighter. I followed the custom settings on flatpanelshd.com where critic optimizes settings for best picture output, to more advanced options such as B-and R-gain-gain. From there, I have messed around with the other settings until I found a picture that I am very happy with. Comparison: Two of my friends bought a 55-inch LG LW5600 and I spent a good time watching their TV. The LG uses for passive 3D glasses are super cheap and comfortable - I hate to say this, but the 3D in that TV probably looks better overall, they also boast a contrast ratio of 8,000,000 to one, while the Sony EX720 is 1 to 2,000,000. What this means is the LG has a dazzling array of vibrant colors. But after changing my settings, I was able to produce comparable results and color picture on the Sony is noticeably lighter - you could not be a novel effect on the LG if you tried. Motionflow 240 also seems to make a difference as I can the wrinkles on the most interesting man in the face of seeing the world I could not see at LG. In addition, the LG had a lot of glitches when watching sports, which could be the cable or the TV 120Hz processor. Even a rating of five stars for a clearer picture than the picture with LG and enhanced tweaked settings. Original review below. * Image * From April: Very good. Granted I was watching a 37-inch LCD screen which has been almost six years, so even the vision of a wax crayon drawing on paper would be an upgrade, but I've seen ESPN HD, HBO HD and avatars in a lot of other random things. There was no clear dew (bright spots on the screen) at all. I was pleasantly surprised that it really was not an effect on the soap opera shows and movies I've seen. More Photos: It 'true that this is not a TV "true" 240Hz. And 'marketed as Motionflow 240Hz, which means basically that there 120Hz, but is a kind of technology that Sony made "to bring the frame rate up to 240Hz." That said, probably would not be able to tell the difference between 120 and 240Hz, however. I wish that picture was a little "brighter, but it's super easy to adjust settings. Moreover, the black levels, not as I like black. When you see a show with lots of black screen seems a little 'gray than black trim along the TV. Sound: GREAT. You know how sometimes watching a DVD or a TV show and music and background sounds are super strong and the voices and the dialogue is super quiet, and then you have to turn up the volume to hear dialogue, but then back down quickly, because some thriving music shit scared of you? Not so with this TV is obviously a technology that automatically detects smooth dialogue and background noise and enhances votes. In addition, changing the sound settings to "S-Force Front Surround," in reality there is a noticeable difference in quality, sound more like an echo in this setting. 3D: Suh-weeeeet! Ok, crosstalk problems are not definitive - it is a term I learned to read quite a few comments. You will see double images on some points, but I read all the TV review suffer from this problem because it is a new technology. DirecTV has offered my four-channel 3D, was a channel that shows nature shows running on dinosaurs, ocean life, space and stuff that I spent four hours at a stretch to see this channel and now I know a little 'random facts about dinosaurs, ocean life and things in space. My options were either wired, I do not want to do, or buy a dongle exclusive Samsung. I opted for the possibility that Samsung does not mention - I bought the WET610N! The device was easy to install and the instructions were clear. I've never used the Linksys CD to install these devices much, but I must say it was painless compared to some others I've ever seen. The value of this device is simply that with everything that works "connected" network. It does not matter if it a video game system device, a DVR-type, or as in this case, a Blu-ray DVDs. For this reason, the device is very valuable and will be used for a long time, even if the current equipment I use now are long gone. 57 out of 60 people found this review helpful following configuration quickly - up to 10 minutes from E. Linder update 10/31/10: This product has worked flawlessly for a year straight * *! Highly recommended without reservation! Update 10/2/09: So is the new firmware update from Linksys 8.31.09 (1.0.01 to 1.0.03 I went to today). After applying a new firmware, signal strength reported a significant increase. So did the consistency and reliability of ping (former would be between 2 ms and 410 ms and occasionally skip a table - now consistently below 5 ms). I would recommend this product, but be sure to be running firmware 1.0.0.03. This update may solve some (but not all) the problems that previous reviewers experience. Initial review: fast shipping from Amazon. For my setup wizards terror, I used the guide on CD-ROM that I met on my laptop, connected wirelessly via the wireless router. Bridge is connected to a wired router with an Ethernet cable directly wizard to quickly detect available wireless networks (I recommend my - not my neighbors). I asked for a password (you knew that you are using WPA2 encryption) to the router (Linksys WRT54G), waited a bit, then assistant told me to disconnect the bridge from the router and then connect the bridge with my remote computer (in my case - a home theater in a box) (HTIB) with a wired Ethernet connection. A little later announced the installation wizard over. When you're ready to watch streaming Netflix and Pandora in HTIB listen. Before you run the wizard, I put the MAC address of the bridge (located in the bottom of the unit) to the allowed list of "PC") in my router's list of allowed MAC addresses. Secondly, I made sure there was a sufficient range of DHCP addresses distributed by the DHCP server on the router (a total of three - one for the laptop, a wireless printer, and now added a third for this bridge). The third had my router password immediately available for delivery to the guide I think, because I was well prepared, was set free and quick. I totally understand why the directories are used - they are easy for beginners setting up their stuff. In this case I think it took less time wizard to set than it would if I would have chosen to set up the bridge manually (which is an undocumented option) to set. A beginner would be a fight with a manual configuration, I'm sure. Signal strength of the bridge shows a little light for professional use, but for home use is to work well for my single application. One can safely add more devices to the next bridge connecting the bridge to a switch to a different Ethernet ports. Of course, the bridge passes the DHCP information to a device on such switch. And of course, no address of a (n) (unmanaged) switch. The only thing I'm not sure if this is the life of the product. I have a Linksys WRT54G early totally not for me, but I hope to put my present on a UPS that will not happen again, I have faith in the power.

Until now, most of Sony's television screens have a matte finish that is not reflective. While Sony TVs are the best, but compared to Samsung, the Sony lacked a bit "of crispness and black levels in the image. Now Sony has overcome this panel OptiContrast shadow of Samsung sharp picture and black levels. The image processing is amazing with superb picture quality brighter and black levels. The black color is royal blue, not black as black as before. I connected the normal DVD and Blu-ray player to this TV. I compared 1080/24p (Blu-ray) vs. 1080/60p Picture (DVD). I did experiment with the film Inception, The dark night and Shrek. DVD picture quality almost equal with Blu-ray picture quality. Black levels, visual impact and an astonishing clarity is achieved by OptiContrast panel and X-Reality Engine, Blu-ray movies are cool with this TV, but DVD movies are not small. You can rent DVDs from Redbox and enjoy Blu-ray picture quality. When I switched the TV to the standard DVD in standard definition mode, the TV automatically upgraded image. I have no doubts about the SD content had before buying, but this TV came with a better image than previous SD content and television from Sony. If I compare to my other Samsung LED-46D8000 TV, I could see that Sony has improved the SD image. TV upgrades SD content to HD content level. This is the best part of this TV. Sony and Samsung have taken a number of benchmarks (standards) for the TV in his own way. Sony in 2010 to participate in reflective displays where the Samsung classes on Sony's matte finish. With this model, NX720, HX820 and HX929 Sony came into the reflective screens and achieved surprising levels of black and bright image Another advantage of this TV is Corning Gorilla Glass. Someone must really try to break the TV and see how much this screen is strong. :) I tested the sound and quality is good. One great thing about Sony offers 5.1-channel audio output. I have Comcast Cable HD DVR. HD movies to reach 5.1 1-channel audio and television for accurate replication I've tested this with / without a home connection. Still the sound is very good without home theater speakers. Another place where Sony Mark scores over its competitors, it delivers 5.1-channel output via the optical audio output. Other TVs only provide 2-channel sound via the optical audio output. If you are too much in the technical data, NX720-TV Panel 120Hz panel by default. HX820 and HX929 plates are much better with 240Hz refresh rate. Not to be confused with the panel refresh rate with motion blur treatment. Both are separate. Per my knowledge, all television panels 60Hz and 240Hz panels, motion blur or flow processors busy on television. Sony has come up with a better panel refresh rate 120Hz and 240Hz. Moreover, it is. 240Hz or higher Motionflow treatment of men your TV I am impressed with the NX720 motion blur treatment. The motion blur gets better and better. There are no artifacts noticed so far about the images of the image conversion from 2D to 3D is very good. But test the function of Blu-ray, but so far the conversion is at its best ..

Porter [This is a long review of the number of guaranteed features of the BDP-S580. I will try as much relevant information as I can do in an attempt to make this useful for you as possible. If you only have one line "this is great" review, I apologize, but some people like detail:) I know, I know] IMPORTANT:. I've added a number of updates and edited over time to keep this review as of this date. Be sure to check them when the previous decisions to problems that I can show experience.
